On Friday, November 23rd, the Belgrade Open School received the Serbian Visions award "The Best Vision" for social engagement and continuous contribution for participation in the only multi congress in Serbia - Serbian Visions. For the fourth year in a row, BOS participate at multi congress with a Youth2Business event with the aim to bring together young people and representatives of the business sector by giving them the opportunity to connect, learn more about individual experiences of successful people and their business ventures in Serbia.
Also, this year the Belgrade Open School organized the sixth Youth2Business event "Youth and First Job" within the fourth multi-congress in Serbia - Serbian Visions on November 24th, 2018 at the Radisson Blu Old Mill Hotel.
Welcoming speech for the participants and lecturers was given by Aleksandra Zdravkovic, the BOS Client Service Coordinator, and in that way solemnly opened the event.
This year speakers were Vladimir Mitrovic, Creative Director of "Ovation BBDO", Nemanja Djordjevic, project manager "Initiative Digital Serbia", Veljko Petrovic, CEO "Chalet Vrhovi Kopaonik" and Bojan Milosavljevic, Barber "Britva Barber Shop".
The idea of this year's Youth2Business event was that speakers in the discussion with the participants point out the fact that formal education does not necessarily determine the first job, as well as the further career. The lecturers shared their dilemmas with participants and explained them how did they come from the Excel to the razor, from canvas to the digital revolution, from the white coat to the advertisements for Manchmelou and the political theories to the development of tourism.
The Youth2Business event has so far linked more than 250 young people and over 30 representatives of the business sector. In this way, the participants had the opportunity to hear various career stories of speakers aimed at presenting opportunities to young people and encouraging them to think differently, wider and more openly when their future career is concerned.
