Students of the 30th generation submitted their final papers. After the reviews, the papers will be published in the Belgrade Open School Collection of Essays.

Testing of the candidates in the second round of selection for the admission of the 31st generation of the Future Studies is completed.

The second enrollment period for the Future Studies educational program started on August 21st.

The application period for the admission of the 31st generation of Future Studies ended. After evaluating the applications, selected candidates will be invited to the second round of selection.

The application period for enrollment of the 31st generation of the Future Studies educational program started. It lasts from May 15 to June 30.

Students held their lectures within the Students2Students program.

Lectures in the second semester of the educational program have been completed. This semester, students of the 30th generation had the opportunity to hear about different topics in two modules: Classroom 4.0 and Perspectives on Europe.

Students of the 30th generation of Future Studies participated in the Winter School of Teamwork in Gučevo, from March 24th to March 26th. 

Students of the 30th generation had trainings for writing final papers. The training for writing practical policy proposals was conducted by Vladimir M. Pavlović and Goran Radlovački, the case study training was conducted by Marina Lukić, and the academic essay writing training was conducted by Mina Kuzminac and Pavle Nedić.

Five colleagues from the Belgrade Open School participated in the Case study show, which is traditionally supported by the Future Study team every year. Among the representatives of Belgrade Open School were: Dana Tasovac, Miljana Jovanović, Mina Kuzminac, Angelina Ivanović and Filip Ljubojević.

The presentation about the final papers for the 30th generation of Future Studies was held in the Belgrade Open School classroom. After the presentation, the students will choose one form of final paper to write, which will be published in the Collection of Essays of the Belgrade Open School.

Students of the current generation took a test about the EU, after the intensive module they had at the beginning of the spring semester.

Students of the 30th generation had the opportunity to participate in an introduction workshop within the Alumni2Students mentoring program. With interactive exercises and an informal conversation, the students made their first contact with their mentors, with whom they will collaborate in the summer semester. The workshop was led by Nataša Nikolov, an alumna and long-time mentor at the Program.

The coordinator and demonstrator of the program, with the support of the President of the Program Board, Marinko Vučinić, conducted individual interviews with students of the 30th generation. The goal of the conversation was to reach conclusions about the success of the semester and further suggestions for improving the program in the spring semester, but also for the next generation.

Students visited the exhibition at the National Museum in Belgrade. Milan Koljanin introduced the students to a very important topic from our history and the history of the city of Belgrade - Sajmište concentration camp.

The fall semester ended for 30th generation of students. After 20 lectures within two modules, the students gathered in a festive mood to summarize their impressions from this semester and set new, higher goals for the coming year.The students had another additional activity, which is Secret Santa. The first semester ended with the gift giving and socializing. 

Students of the 30th generation had 6 lectures as part of the Psychology Workshops held by Jana Stojanović.

Members of the Program Committee held a meeting where they determined the teaching program for the fall semester.

This generation of the educational program expressed great interest in participating in the Belgrade Open School literary club. The first meeting of the literary club was dedicated to Ivo Andrić and his timeless work - The Damned Yard. 

The fifth consecutive Alumni donor party was held on November 16, in the premises of the Mona Plaza Hotel. This was an opportunity for alumni of the program to see each other again, exchange experiences, evoke memories from the program, but also to support the implementation of the program for the new, 30th generation of Future Studies, with their donation.

As part of the big Move.Link.Engage. conference, students of the Future Studies educational program were awarded diplomas. A total of ten students of the 29th generation successfully completed the educational program.

On October 17, students were welcomed by the Director of the school, as well as all team managers, some of whom are alumni of the program. Also, one of the founders of the Belgrade Open School, Mr. Marinko Vučinić, as well as the President of the Board of Directors of the Belgrade Open School, Professor Slobodan Marković, welcomed new generation of students.

On October 15, the 30th generation of the Future Studies educational program started its first semester in the educational program. The introductory workshop was dedicated to students getting to know each other. The workshop was led by Bojana Jevtović.

The new Program Committee of Future Studies consists of: Marinko Vučinić, Tamara Vlastelica, Pavle Nedić, Dobrivoje Erić and Mijat Barjaktarević.
The Program Committee will propose adequate lecturers for the modules: Future of the State and Society, Skills for the Future, Perspectives of Europe and Classroom 4.0. With its commitment, The Program Committee will contribute to the further improvement of the program.

On August 29, the second enrollment period for the admission of the 30th generation of the multidisciplinary Future Studies program was opened. After the application period ends and after reviewing the received applications, the candidates will be contacted.

On May 23, an alumni lecture was held by Peca Popović, a well-known music critic, publicist and journalist.

Youth employment - key legal aspects

On May 19, a lecture on the challenges that young people face in the labor market was held in Belgrade Open School. The lecture was held by Professor Ljubinka Kovačević, a Professor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Belgrade.

On May 16, the campaign for the admission of a new generation of Future Studies students officially began.

On May 15, 2022, the 29th generation of the Future Studies educational program had a one-day trip to Sremski Karlovci, where they had the opportunity to learn about the rich cultural and historical heritage of this place.

Students2Students lecture: Black and gold - Good and bad sides of blockchain technology

On May 4, 2022, a lecture was held by Nikola Pavlov, a student of the 29th generation of the Future Studies program who shared his experiences and research on Blockchain technology with his colleagues.

On April 27, 2022, the first Students2Students lecture was held as part of the Future Studies educational program.
The lecture entitled "Political culture - the example of Serbia" was held by Nikola Ilić, a student of the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Belgrade.

On March 9, an info session about Central European University programs and academic and career counseling was held for students of the educational program.

Council of the EU Simulation was held on March 23, as a part of the Perspectives on Europe module. This simulation is intended for students of the Future Studies educational program, while the process was facilitated by Pavle Nedić and Aleksandar Ivković.

During the month of March, the Writing Courses were held for the students of the Future Studies educational program.

On March 24, a lecture for BOS Alumni network named Gender Equality and Crises: contradictio in adjecto? was held by Zorana Antonijevic.

On Monday (February 14, 2022), a lecture was held in the BOS's classroom on the topic "Will machines replace people?".

The lecturer, Marija Novičić, through an interactive and modern presentation, introduced the students to the basic concepts related to artificial intelligence and machine learning.

The first lecture was held within the module "Views towards Europe".


The lecture entitled "European integration between the nation and globalization" was held by Vladimir Petrovic in online format.


Through the use of the Zoom platform, students participated in an active discussion with the lecturer.

On Monday, February 7, 2022, a special lecture was held by Svetoslav Atanasov (General Manager of Coca-Cola HBC).

On Wednesday, February 2, 2022, the intensive module on the European Union was completed.

On Friday, January 21, 2022, an introductory workshop was held within the Alumni2Students mentoring program.

  • On Thursday, December 23, 2021. was the last lecture (workshop) on Future Studies in the academic year 2021/2022.
  • On December 14, a special lecture for BOS alumni and students of the XXIX Generation of Future studies titled Career after MA abroad: Experience From Johns Hopkins SAIS was held.

  • 22 students of XXVIII generation of the Future Studies inducted in the BOS Alumni Network, which now accounts for 1313 members.
  • On September 16, 2021, the Fourth BOS alumni donor party was held.
  • The spring semester of Future Studies for the 28th generation ended with a lecture by Nikola Burazer held on April 28. In the spring semester of the academic year 2020/21 were held 27 lectures: 5 in the Intensive Module Europe, 12 in the module Views towards Europe, and 12 in the module Classroom 4.0.
  • Design Thinking workshops for the XXVIII generation of Future Studies held in cooperation with Smart Kolektiv on May 20, 21 and 22.
  • On Wednesday, May 12, the second Students2Students lecture for the 28th generation of Future Studies was held by Lazar Ivanovic.
  • A special lecture "Visual Identity of Belgrade from the Past to the Future" of Ana Samardžić was held on Monday, May 11.

  • During the enrollment campaign for the XXVIII generation of Future Studies, two online presentations were held: Conversations for the Future (June 11) and Zoom the Future (August 25). The presentations were attended by 20 students from Belgrade universities.
  • On Monday, September 21, a graduation ceremony was held for the XXVII generation of Studies of the Future.
  • 22 students of XXVI generation of the Future Studies inducted in the BOS Alumni Network, which now accounts for 1291 members.

  • Students of the XXVII Generation of the Future Studies participated in a debate which was organized in partnership with Partners for Democractic Change Serbia. The debate was held on November 14, 2019.
