After a break between the two semesters, hard-working students of the XXVIII generation returned to the classroom of the Belgrade Open School. The spring semester of Future Studies, began with the Intensive Module Europe.

During the intensive module, which began on January 25, students had the opportunity to gain important knowledge about European integration as well as the functioning of the European Union. This year's lecturers at the Intensive Module were Pavle Nedić (BOS) and Aleksandar Ivković (European Western Balkans). The historical development of the EU, its most important institutions, the benefits that EU membership brings, but also the current crises in the EU, were some of the topics covered during this module. In addition to the theoretical part that was contained in the lectures, the students also participated in various workshops that brought them even closer to the way the EU works through practical examples.

The intensive module is an introduction to the module Looking towards Europe, where this generation will talk with eminent lecturers about special EU policies, challenges that this organization faces today, but also about Serbia’s path to EU accession.

In addition to the module Looking to Europe, the current generation of Future Studies will listen to lectures within the module Classroom 4.0, through which they will learn about the challenges, dangers, and benefits that the 4.0 revolution brings, both for the individual and for global society as a whole. The first lecture within the module was held on Monday, February 8. On the topic of Artificial Intelligence - Revolution or Apocalypse? Aleksandra Marjanović talked to the students about the benefits did AI bring, what was its application during the pandemic, but also what are the ethical dilemmas imposed on us by the use of AI.

The internship program and the Alumni2Students mentoring program will continue in the spring semester, and one of the most important activities will be the preparation of the final project. Students will also participate in a number of additional activities, such as the Winter School of Teamwork and Students2Students lectures, where they will present topics to inspire each other.
