The first Students2Students lecture held

The student of XXVII Generation of Future Studies Katarina Kovacevic held the first Students2Students lecture for her colleagues on April 2, 2020.

Due to the state ofemergency, the lecture was held online. That did not have any effect on the students of XXVII Generation, which were eager to hear the lecture of Katarina Kovacevic, their Future Studies classmate and MA student of research psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. She introduced them to the basics of behavioural economics, an interdisciplinary field that combines insights from psychology and economics in order to better undrestand and explain the role of different factors that influence human decision making. Through numerous examples and discussion, the students learned which thee types of rationality exist, why are people more scared of air accidents rather than the road ones, and what is the Allais paradox.

Students2Students lectures are one of many side activities on Future Studies. Through these lectures students have an opportunity to teach skills and transfer knowledge to their colleagues from the fields they study or have an interest in. These peer to peer approach incites more direct communication, easier learning due to a shared discourse between participants and a chance for lecturers to practice public speaking.
