On Saturday, 15th December, professional team of the educational programmes of Belgrade open school has successfully won 20 computers, as a part of the open call "Responsibly within the community" which was conducted under the watch of Vojvodjanska bank. This prize will strengthen BOS' classroom, and will help the students improve their computer skills. Programme of support "Responsibly within the community" is dedicated to the development of knowledge in Serbia, trough giving support to educational initiatives which aim to improve education and informal educational programmes in a strategic manner. Also, in addition to the computer equipment, this programme provides expert volunteer support which is assigned so that the equipment could be used to its full potential, while also giving the participants and the organiziers the chance to network.
The call consisted out of 3 stages of selections, which included the submission of the project draft, online voting, and the last stage, which was pitching of the project itself in front of expert judges. Out of 60 applicants, 24 projects with the highest number of votes in an online campaign, entered the last phase. Future studies team was a part of the chosen projects. It was presented by the coordinator of the educational programme, Danijela Grubnic, and the assistent of the same programme, Mijat Barjaktarevic. Future studies was one of the top 9 projects, and has in that way won the 20 computers.
CLASSROOM 4.0
In the spring semester of the academic year 2018/2019, students of Future studies will have the opportunity to attend the module which is completely oriantated towards the 4th tech revolution. Some of the topics within this module are Challenges of human kind with the contemporary achievements of science and medicine, New language for a new time: From an inventor to a storyteller, Future of DNA, Jugaad, Future as a narative.. The main idea is for the students to become familiar with the trends of the
Theoretical knowledge will be suplemented with the practical, in BOS' classroom. By perfecting their computer skills, the students will be even more empowered trough more knowledge, which will in turn, give them a better place in the job market, and will also prepare the for all the coming challenges. They will walk this path together alongside BOS professional team, and with the support of Vojvodjanska bank, and their new computers.
