Future Studies opens a New Chapter with the 26th Generation

Belgrade open school (BOS) wished a warm welcome on Monday 8th October to students of the new XXVI generation of the Future studies educational programme. The whole of BOS team, with its general director Vesna Djukic at the forefront, greeted the new generation which consists of 22 chosen students. After the opening word, the students had the chance to introduce themselves as well.

Future studies began with Skills for the future module and with a dynamic workshop held by Bojana Jevtovic (Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation) who spoke about creating opportunities in the future, or in other words, how students can manage their careers the right way. Students came to key conclusions through a series of interactive exercises and a very productive debate which in turn also allowed them to meet each other better.

The following lecture had the students discussing the problem of inequality in the world. The lecturer was Zarko Sunderic, director of the Centre for social politics. Students had the chance to contemplate on this very hot topic through a lens of politics, technology, art, etc. This was the official beginning of the Future of the state and society module.

Alongside the before mentioned modules, students of the new XXVI generation will also attend these two modules: Classroom 4.0 and Looking towards Europe. At the beginning of the coming month, students will have the opportunity to choose the desired internship as a part of the Internship programme, while within the Alumni2Students programme they will also receive their mentors, chosen alumni, who will support them in their academic, career and personal development.

From next week, students will have an interesting lecture on the future of socio-economic development, as well as a very useful simulation of a business interview aimed at preparing students for the labour market.

You can follow the atmosphere of lectures and all student activities in more detail on our official Instagram profile.
