Closing activities on the "Future Studies"

Lectures in April and the first week of May on the program "Future Studies" for students of the XXIV generation are officially completed. Our time with students is certainly not ending here, because a lot of new activities are waiting for them.

Referring to the lectures from the previous month, the activities in April continued on the topics of culture. Tamara Biljman, an art historian, spoke with students about the future challenges of culture and consumerism, and Milan Vlajcic, a journalist, writer and film critic, talked with students about movies and about accelerated advancement of technology, and recommended a large number of useful literature. On the technology and role of the media in creating the future, the participants talked with Stanko Crnobrnja, a professor at the Faculty of Media and Communication.

A little bit different lecture on the module Future of the State and the Knowledge Society was held by Biljana Stojkovic, professor at the Faculty of Biology in Belgrade, on the topic "The Future of DNA", which was very interesting for the students, because it comes out of the framework of all the lectures they have heard before. The last lecture was held by a professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad, Stamenko Susak, on the subject "Modern science - from" Plato's cave "to" Jung's shadow and Frankl’s three-dimensional ontology ", that left the students breathless.

A special lecture, as a continuation of the lecture from the previous semester, Peca Popovic devoted to the YU breakthrough fracture points entitled "About the drop of our blood in the global bloodstream". This time, again, students enjoyed and had many questions for Peca.

Looking towards Europe module this month was opened by Vladimir Medjak of the negotiating team for negotiations on Serbia's accession to the EU, and on that occasion he talked with students about what Serbia has done so far on its European path. Miljana Djurcevic and Milica Saracevic from the Office for European Integration spoke to the participants on freedom of movement and Schengen, as well as on the progress of Serbia in Chapter 23. Srdjan Majstorovic from the Office for European Integration spoke with students about Serbia in fifth gear, and what Serbia achieved so far in key years such as 2007 and 2012, and what are the possible scenarios in the future. Jelena Babic from the Serbian Chamber of Commerce held a workshop on Human and Minority Rights and that how module Looking towards Europe was officially completed.

A surprise workshop is waiting for students on Monday, May 8th. In the coming period, they will be involved in the campaign for enrollment of students of XXV generation, they will also have organized extracurricular activities, trips, as well as tours to cultural institutions in Belgrade.
