Intensive module Europe as an introduction to the activities of the spring semester on the "Future Studies"

With the lecture by Jelena Babic from the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Milica Saracevic from the Office for European Integration, the Intensive Europe Module was completed. On this occasion, students talked with Jelena and Milic about the European perspective of the Western Balkans.

The Intensive Europe Module involves a set of lectures, in which students will have the opportunity to gain the necessary knowledge for Looking towards Europe Module lectures.

On the Intensive Module, at the introductory lecture, students also talked with Jelena Babic and Milica Saracevic on the subject of the first 65 years of the European Union, and a workshop was held and it was about introducing students with the work of institutions of the European Union and the most important functions they perform.

Marko Vujacic, a political scientist from the University of Graz, talked with participants about the process of policy making in the EU, as well as decision-making processes.

Students, after having completed the Intensive Europe Module, will have test where they will check the knowledge acquired on the intensive module.

Another activity in January was the training for writing a final project in the form of academic essay, which is one of the mandatory activities of students of the Future Studies. Vladimir Pavicevic, a professor at the Faculty of Political Science, gave guidance to the participants on how to write high-quality final project.

On Monday, January 30th, the participants had their first lecture on the Future of the State and Knowledge Society module. The module was opened by Professor Dejan Soskic from the Faculty of Economics, and he talked with students about the future of socio-economic development of Serbia. The module was continued with the lecture Zarko Sunderic, director of the Center for Social Policy, who talked with students about inequalities in society, and opened the discussion whether it represents a lasting or solvable problem.

The introductory lecture on the Looking towards Europe module was held by Vladimir Petrovic from the Institute for Contemporary History at the Central European University. Lecture on the topic Are we living a negative utopia today led the students to think and quality debate during lecture.

Students had the opportunity to watch several excellent theater performances, such as "Red: Suicide of the Nation" and "The Avidity ", and after the show, "Leni" they even talked to the actors and the producer of the show. These and many other extracurricular activities are waiting for us in the spring semester.
