On Wednesday, December 14th 2016, the Belgrade Open School (BOS) received "The Sample of Leadership Excellence" Award for 2016 by the Serbian Association of Managers (SAM). The Belgrade Open School was awarded for its one-year multidisciplinary educational program "Future Studies", in the category for promotion and leadership among young people.
The SAMPLE Prize "The Sample of Leadership Excellence" is awarded to a person or institution that has most contributed to the promotion of leadership among young people and has a positive impact on the environment and development of young people.
On behalf of the Belgrade Open School, the prize was received by Vesna Djukic, General Director of the Belgrade Open School, who addressed the audience: "It is my great pleasure that tonight, on behalf of the Belgrade Open School, I can receive this award and to personally and in the name of Belgrade Open School, and on behalf of 1100 alumnists of educational one-year multidisciplinary programs of the Belgrade Open School, I would like to thank, on behalf of those who have made all these years, a network of great leaders, drivers of change and representatives, as we like to say, the elite of spirit and knowledge. The Belgrade Open School is an educational organization that has been engaged in education and development of human resources for 23 years and empowering all three sectors of our society, public and business and civil sector, as well as improving public policies. I'm very pleased, I'm really happy. Thank you all, on behalf of all of us. "
The results of BOS's programs are best illustrated by the fact that the rich alumni network is consisted of over 1,100 excellent individuals who are in important positions in the public and business sector, in the academic community, both domestic and foreign. However, what is unique to this network is the continued dedication and involvement of BOS's aluminists in many other activities of BOS, and in particular in the development and implementation of the "Future Studies" program.
SAMPLE Award, on behalf of the Serbian Association of Managers (SAM), was presented by Ivan Pribicevic, a member of the Managing Board of SAM.
SAM, as a business association gathers 400 professional managers, who manage teams of more than 90,000 employees and realize an annual turnover of nearly 12 billion euros, recognizes the importance of investing in young people to develop business community and improve the business environment in Serbia.
On the occasion of marking 10 years of existence, SAM organized a gala dinner in order to celebrate its anniversary and award SAM annual awards in 10 categories. Gala dinner, held in the Crystal Hall of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, was attended by over 300 officials from business, political, diplomatic, cultural and media life.
