Free and additional activities at Future Studies

As part of the Future Studies program, in addition to lectures, there are additional and free activities. As part of these activities, students develop better mutual communication and they bond into a group in different ways.

These activities are designed so that, besides the lectures, students have the opportunity to fulfill the time they will use for additional upgrading of knowledge and skills, and the Future Studies team tries to realize at least one free or additional activity every month.

As a tradition, one of the activities that is most represented during the two semesters involves psychological workshops. The aim of these workshops is for students to become better acquainted with theoretical and practical knowledge of psychology and psychotherapy. The topics are chosen according to the wishes and needs of the students. The workshops are interactive and greatly encourage students to improve their communication, face problems rationally, but also to get to know themselves and others.

Literary club of Belgrade Open School started as an idea for a free activity during the 24th generation of Future Studies and continues its existence to this day. This workshop aims to preserve the reading culture among young people, but also to encourage them to share their attitude towards certain literary works with others. Students have a lot of opportunities and freedom to choose the book they will read and then interpret it together, which, as a consequence has the fact that at literary gatherings exhaustive analyzes of the great classics of literature, as well as contemporary literature, both theoretical and literary-artistic can be heard.

The Winter school of team work is traditionally organized at the beginning of the second semester. The school gives students the opportunity to leave the city for a few days and participate together, in various trainings that will help them discover their role in any group in which they may find themselves in their future professional engagement.

Finally, we should not forget about the special lectures that give students the opportunity to, in addition to the knowledge and skills they acquire within the four modules that constitute the program, learn and find out a lot of new things, as well as Students2Students lectures where students get the opportunity to be lecturers.

Besides these activities that have been part of the program for years, each generation gives, through its ideas and suggestions, a personal touch to this part of the program, and so the following activities are also often included: trips to museums, cinemas, theaters, night outs and much more.
