The educational programme for selected students Future Studies is held in the premises of the Belgrade Open School, in the Belgrade Palace (Beogradjanka), Masarikova 5 / XVI floor, Belgrade.
Lectures take place during two semesters, two modules per semester. The first semester lasts from October to the end of December of the current year, and the second from February to May of the following year.
Each module consists of at least 10 interactive lectures, workshops or simulations that last from 90 up to 180 minutes. Interactive lectures, workshops, and simulations are organized on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from noon 17:00 until 22:00 (depending on which additional activities students choose).
This schedule only applies to the curriculum of the Future Studies educational programme. Other activities on the programme (internship programme, final project, Alumni2Students mentoring programme, extra-curriculum activities) have different dynamics that are presented to students at the beginning of the academic year.
Multidisciplinary modules aim to develop knowledge, skills and social awareness of students. The modules are focused on four parts: The Future of the State and Society, The Future of Europe, and Skills for the Future. Lectures on all modules are mandatory for students enrolled in the program. First three listed modules enable students to critically engage in debates about the future of the state and society, the knowledge society and the future of Europe. The fourth one, Skills for the Future, provides students with an opportunity to advance their skills such as public speaking skills, career management skills, financial management skills, online communication skills and presentations, social and emotional intelligence.
Realization of the Future Studies programme in the academic year 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 was supported by eminent experts, lecturers on the programme, coming from the academic community, but also from the public and business sectors.
