Founded as a Catholic College in 1948th in the municipality of Istion by the Holy Cross community, Stonehill College nurtures a holistic approach that is guided by the principles of education and religion. The College educates its students to be global citizens who will appreciate knowledge, integrity and compassion when engaging in creating a more just society.
The professors in their mentor approach towards students emphasise the critical analysis and creative thinking.
There are more than 80 academic programmes in the field of science, business and liberal arts at the College. Stonehill College has gained the reputation of a nationally recognized institution due to international study programmes and internship programmes that aim to introduce students to different possibilities.
The partnership between the Belgrade Open School and Stonehill College was established in January 2016. with the aim to strengthen cooperation and improve the capacities of both institutions through various activities. The first in a series of activities was held in March 2016. when Stonehill college students that were on the intership programme in Belgrade, visited BOS and exchanged experiences with students of the Future Studies programme.
