Central European University (CEU) announces that it has received accreditation as Central European University Private University, an Austrian private university.
The Austrian institutional accreditation also includes the accreditation of six degree programs: BAs in Culture, Politics, and Society (CPS); and Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE); MAs in International Public Affairs (IPA); Public Policy (Mundus MAPP); Women’s and Gender Studies (GEMMA); and an MSc in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management (MESPOM).
The Hungarian government has refused to permit CEU to enroll new students for its US-accredited degrees in Hungary as of January 1, 2019. Therefore, CEU will issue all US-accredited degrees in Vienna from the fall of 2019, at its new Vienna campus.

Since 2003, the Belgrade Open School is a local CEU unit and thanks to the activities of BOS, so far more than 230 students have had the opportunity to continue their education at the Central European University. This year, in total 24 students from all Serbia will start the studies at the CEU.
