Students interested in continuing their education at the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest attended on December 28, 2016, a presentation of the CEU scholarship program at the Belgrade Open School (BOŠ). Nearly thirty students who attended the event had the opportunity to talk with CEU alumni, who were happy to answer questions and give useful advice about the application.At the beginning of the presentation, the audience was greeted by Ana Stevanović, coordinator of academic development projects at the Belgrade Open School, which presented students with BOS's activities in the field of academic development and explained the cooperation with the Central European University. After that, Jelisaveta Jovanovic, an assistant within academic development projects, introduced students with available master and doctoral programs, application process and opportunities for a scholarship to CEU. The presentations of the CEU alumni were followed by Sara Penđer, Jelena Jovanović, Katarina Belić, Vlado Madžarević, Jovan Savićević, and Darko Majstorović who shared their experiences with the students on CEU and life in the Hungarian capital. The gathered students showed great interest and the desire to prepare their application as well as they asked the alumni a large number of questions, to which the alumni were glad to respond. Alumni also presented the differences in educational systems that exist in Serbia and CEU and pointed out many positive aspects of the American education system, which is applied to this higher education institution.
The Central European University offers as many as 39 different master and doctoral programs, primarily in the field of social sciences. This university is also known for its large number of scholarships available to students. The Master's and Doctoral Program Contest is open until February 1, 2017.
