On Thursday, September 28th, 2017, at the Scholarship Fair at the Rectorate building, the Belgrade Open School presented academic scholarships from the Central European University (CEU) and the Foundation for an Open Society, as well as the non-formal education program "Future Studies".For the fourth time, the University of Belgrade has organized a scholarship fair for students from Serbia. The aim of this event is to provide students with all the necessary information on scholarships that will enable students to continue their studies in Serbia and abroad, but also inform them about what skills and knowledge they need when applying for one of the scholarships. It was also about the motivation and proactive attitude that students should take when they decide to apply for some of the scholarships.
On the second day of the fair, the Belgrade Open School had the opportunity to introduce students to the "Future Studies" program, as well as academic scholarships provided to students by the Central European University and the Foundation for an Open Society. Every year, the Belgrade Open School grants scholarships to 25 students who have the opportunity, through lectures, to learn and discuss the global trends that are shaping our society, but also acquire practical knowledge and skills necessary for further academic and professional development. We also discussed bout CEU scholarships for students who want to enrol in master and doctoral studies at this university. In addition, interested students could be informed about scholarships from the Foundation for an Open Society that offers Civil Society Scholar Awards scholarships for the research work for PhD students and workers at higher education institutions.
In addition, we had the opportunity to present the mentioned programs in more detail at the presentation held at the Rectorate's Ceremonial Hall.
The open-call for CEU registration will be announced in October this year, and the Open Society Foundation will announce the open-call for its scholarships in early 2018.
