The Belgrade Open School students and alumni support Central European University in moments when Hungarian parliament adopted the law by which the uninterrupted functioning of this academic institution is prevented.
A law adopted in an urgent procedure, questions the work of other international universities and institutes operating in the territory of Hungary. The law adopted opposes the values of a democratic and open society. For the past several days, mass civil protests are being held in Budapest with the aim of opposing the adoption of this act which restricts the freedom and the right to education. Other universities and institutes support CEU, as well as officials from around the world.
You can show your support for the Central European University by signing the Declaration of support that can be found here.
BOS and Central European University are partners since 2003, and so far more than 220 students from Serbia have received scholarships for CEU and have been given the opportunity for further professional development at this prestigious higher education institution.
