Students of the XXIV ‘’Future Studies’’ generation attended the Teamwork Winter School at the mountain Gučevo, from March 2nd until March 5th. On the first day, the students talked with the Belgrade Open School Executive Director Milorad Bjeletić, about the importance of every individual’s role in the team, as well as the characteristics of a successful team, and its advantages and disadvantages. Interactive workshops helped the participants to, based on completed tests, discover what role within the team would be the most adequate for them and what role they are most suited for. The first day ended with the BOS Quiz, which is a traditional activity at the Teamwork Winter School.
The next day, the participants had an organized walk early in the morning so that they could get to know the charms of the place they were staying at. They conquered Crni Vrh, at 779 meters above sea level, and got to hear numerous interesting historical facts from experienced guides about the First World War and trench warfare which is a characteristic of that place.
The workshops were continued in the afternoon hours of the same day. On the second day, the students had the opportunity to practice their rhetorical abilities, which represent a very important skill for them, through interactive workshops with the Belgrade Open School Academic Counselor Vladimir Pavićević. After that, they had a simulation dealing with interests and conflicts within a team and overcoming them with the BOS General Director Vesna Đukić.
The third day of the Winter School was marked with another walk and getting to know the scenery of mountain Gučevo. In the early morning hours they first learned about team development with Vladimir Pavićević, and after free time, during the second simulation with Vesna Đukić, they showed their knowledge and the experience they had gained the previous day. This simulation required them to make very important decisions, which they managed to do, as a successful team that was built during the duration of this Winter School.
Apart from the mandatory sessions, students also had informal gatherings, participated in the Dignityland game about social rights and policies, and various other content that is an integral part of the Winter School.
After the Teamwork Winter School, the students have continued their regular activities on the future of the State and Society module and the Future of Europe module, with psychology workshops which are part of the activities on Wednesdays, as well as the other free time activities.
