What does the EU accession process mean for the future of the energy sector in the Western Balkans? What is the role of the local communities, local authorities, civil society organizations, business sector, EU institutions and Energy community in achieving the “good energy”?
These are just some of the topics that will be discussed within the panel titled: “Good Energy in the EU Accession, from Local to Regional Level: How do we get there?”, as one of the panels in the fourth Regional Conference: “Move. Link. Engage. The Enlargement: A Brand Old Story”, which will bake place in Zira Hotel in Belgrade, on September 13th and 14th and gather more than 100 participants from the whole region. Some of the keynote speakers will be the Director of the Government’s Office for Cooperation with Civil Society, ambassadors of Sweden and Austria in Belgrade, director of the Croatia’s Chamber of Commerce Office in Brussels, director of HR department in VIP Company, and representatives of various EU institutions, such as EU Commission, Economic and Social Council and European Parliament.
The Conference is organized by Belgrade Open School and the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society of the Government of Serbia, with the support of Sweden, “Europe for Citizens” Program of the EU, Kondrad Adenauer Stiftung and Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
The goal of the Conference is to promote the regional approach in solving common issues and encourage cooperation among the citizens, civil society organizations, companies, and institutions, as well as to support EU-integration related reforms in the region through advanced role of civil society organizations and the media.
Within the Conference, with Mr Lazar Džamić as the moderator, various panels will be organized, which will cover topics such as EU enlargement policy, youth employability and energy policy.
