The first in a series of workshops on the establishment of an effective system of energy management at the local level, was held on 11 July within the framework of Reenergija.
The meeting was attended by Dunja Đenić, member of the executive council of the city of Uzice, Vojo Djokovic, a candidate for energy manager of the town of Uzice, Mirjana Drndarević, Mayor of the City Administration for finance, accounting and economics, Radmila Baćković from the Administration of finance, Miloš Radojević from the Regional Development Agency Zlatibor, Željko Zečević- Office for energy management of the Vrbas municipality, Aleksandar Macura from RES Foundation, lawyer Aleksandar Đelić and Mirko Popović from Belgrade open school.
Topics of the meeting were: the legal framework for energy management at the local level, identifying the needs of local communities and ways to set up an efficient system of energy management, strategic framework, stakeholder participation, recognition of the problem and the needs to improve capacities (Discussion with representatives of the city administration, public companies, business sector and civil society).
The meeting was led by Mirko Popović from Belgrade schools, while the presentations was held by Željko Zečević from the Office for Energy Management of the Vrbas municipality, Aleksandra Macura from RES Foundation and Lawyer Aleksandra Đelić
