The Project “Strengthening Administration Capacities for Serbia’s Accession to the European Union (SA4EU2)” is an advanced training program for 420 participants, employees of local self-government, state and provincial administration, public enterprises, development agencies and other institutions and bodies of the Republic of Serbia.
The objective of the project has been to strengthen the capacities of the local, regional and state administration of Serbia for the successful implementation of EU policies in the process of European integration.
The project has been implemented through five educational programs that had provided advanced knowledge and skills related to the institutional character and legal order of the European Union, the process of making policy papers, as well as the most important sectoral policies of the EU, with the emphasis on those policies of special importance for the local and regional level:
- European Union policy in the field of environment;
- European Union policy in the field of rural development;
- European Union energy policy;
- European Union employment policy;
- Project cycle management in EU-funded projects.
A five-day study visit to the European Union institutions in Brussels has been realized within each of the educational programs. For the study visit to Brussels, a total of 180 most educated trainees were selected, according to clearly defined criteria.
