Belgrade Open School organized a round table "Stories of Regional Development: A New Policy for Regional Development in Serbia and a Partnership Principle" on December 11, 2015, in Belgrade.
At this round table, a policy study and the findings of the research was presented, as well as recommendations for the adoption and establishment of the principles of partnership between public authorities and stakeholders (civil society organizations, chambers of commerce, regional development agency, academic community) in the creation and implementation of regional development policy in Serbia.
The research was carried out within the framework of the project "Partnership for Development: Improving the role of civil society in the development of regional policy in the Republic of Serbia", which is implementing with the support of the European Fund for Balkans.
At the very beginning of the conference: Edvard JAKOPIN, Assistant Minister of Economy in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Igor BANDOVIĆ, program manager of the European Fund and Vladimir M. PAVLOVIĆ, coordinator for policies of the Belgrade Open School addressed the participants.
Introduction to the discussion on the topic "Implementation of the principles of partnership in the regional development policy in Serbia" was given by Ognjen MIRIĆ, Regional Manager of the German Organization for International Cooperation GIZ and authors of the study and researchers of the Belgrade Open School, Vanja DOLAPČEV and Danijela BOŽOVIĆ.
