- BOS has organized meetings with numerous companies such as Delta Holding, OTP Bank, Nelt, NLB Bank, the American Chamber of Commerce, and many others. The focus of the meetings was on the following topics: improving conditions and helping the business community to recover from the coronary virus pandemic, environmental protection, youth employability, implementation of new EU regulations in the field of environment.
- Through individual meetings with representatives of companies and civil society organizations, the importance of joint cooperation in the areas of sustainable development and European integration was recognized. During 2020, over 30 online meetings were organized, attended by more than 60 representatives of both sectors.
- In accordance with the strategic connection of program areas and new directions of the positioning of BOS, a framework for cooperation between representatives of business and the civil sector has been established within the new component of the project Civil Society for Improving Serbia's Accession to the European Union.
- As part of the capacity building program of civil society organizations, the Belgrade Open School implemented a mentoring program for civil society organizations that are partners in the project
- The level of citizens' awareness of the EU integration process of Serbia and the activities of partners realized through the CS4EU project has been raised through numerous media announcements published by program partners in the CS4EU project, BOS, and other organizations and media during 2020.
- The capacities of 7 civil society organizations and 4 media partners in the project within the mentoring program have been strengthened.
- During 2020, BOS supported and mentored 11 civil society organizations and the media, which contributed to the more active participation of civil society in the decision-making process and monitoring of the process of negotiations on Serbia's accession to the EU.
- The capacities of over 100 representatives of CSOs and the media for monitoring the process of Serbia's accession to the EU, active participation in the decision-making process, writing and advocating practical policy proposals, but also for project implementation have been strengthened.
- The very first joint initiative was established between BOS, Eneca and OTP bank in the area of entreprenurship within the project " Civil Society as a Force for a Change in the Serbia's EU Accession Process– CS4EU".
- The realization of six Move.Link.Engage. conference over 800 representatives of CSOs, institutions, and media from Western Balksan region were informed about the process of the EU integration.
- The project “Civil Society as a Force for Change in the Serbia’s EU Accession Process“ strengthened capacities of 221 civil society organizations and media representatives through four trainings, two study visits to EU institutions in Brussels, an annual networking workshop and peer exchange and expert support programmes. Furthermore, it has contributed to sustainable work and comprehensive activities in areas of European integration, advocacy and improvement of participation in the decision-making process.
- The project “Civil Society as a Force for Change in the Serbia’s EU Accession Process“ strengthened capacities of 225 civil society organizations and media representatives through four trainings, two study visits to EU institutions in Brussels, an annual networking workshop and peer exchange and expert support programmes. Furthermore, it has contributed to sustainable work and comprehensive activities in areas of European integration, advocacy and improvement of participation in the decision-making process.
- First cycle of the three-year project “Civil Society as a Force for Change in the Serbia’s EU Accession Process“, supported 15 civil society organizations and media projects, lasting from April to September 2017, within the framework of the Support Programme for Civil Society and Media in the field of European Integration.
- Two rounds of the ‘’If you have something to say – say it’’ contests and study visits, strengthened the capacities of 20 high school teams, i.e. 80 students and teachers, who were awarded for their creative and innovative works on topics related to Serbia’s European future.
- Through a mentorship support, the capacities of 11 civil society organizations and unions were strengthened for developing and running advocacy campaigns for the development of public policies in the fields of youth employability, labour law, and public company restructuring, throughout 2016.
- By creating and designing the http://www.zainicijativa.org/ website, the capacities of the civil society organization ‘’Zaječarska inicijativa’’ were developed, that is, the communication with their users was improved, and the visibility of the organization’s activities was improved.
- By redesigning the www.recinam.rs website, the visibility of the Europa Diary was improved, as was communication with high school students and teachers.
- Within the ‘’Local Transparency Booster’’ project, financial support was provided for 5 projects of 7 local civil society organizations from Blac, Sečanj, Loznica, Mali Zvornik and Opovo, in the period from February 1st to April 30th 2016, in the amount of 15,000.00 euros.
- Through the ‘’AkciJA – grants for individuals’ initiatives’’ project, financial and mentor support was provided for 11 civil society organizations in the following fields: art and culture; environmental protection; migrant crisis; (self)employment of those with lower employability prospects and persons with disabilities; social entrepreneurship; intergenerational solidarity; tourism and healthy life styles; protection of users of telecommunications services.
- Through 25 trainings and training courses, the capacities of nearly 500 civil society and youth representatives were built in the field of policy paper writing.
- BOS has, through numerous trainings and training courses, contributed to strengthening the capacities of over 200 civil society representatives in the field of public advocacy and representation.
- By creating the web platform www.obrazovanje.org , the capacities of the Open Society Foundations were strengthened for communication between interested parties, and for internal communication between members of the ‘’Partnership for Education’’ Initiative.
- Within the ‘’ReForce - Reinforcing the Role of Civil Society Organizations in Community Development and Public Administration Reform’’ project, Belgrade Open School supported 11 projects of local civil society organizations from 11 different municipalities in Serbia, in the amount of 16,600.00 euros.
- Creating the Balkan Tender Watch web portal strengthened the capacities in the field of communication and promotion within the ‘’Towards more efficient public procurement mechanisms in EU (potential) candidate countries’’ project of the Open Society Foundations.
