Training "Strengthening the internal capacities of Programme Partners for joint planning, project coordination, and communication"

The first training, aimed at strengthening the capacities of civil society organizations and media within the second year of the Civil Society as a Force for a Change in the Serbia’s EU Accession Process (CS4EU) was held between 26 and 27 December 2017 in the premises of the Belgrade Open School. Training "Strengthening the internal capacities of Programme Partners" gathered 27 participants from 21 civil society organizations and media coming wide across Serbia.

Representatives of partner organizations had the opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills in areas of strategic planning and project management through lectures and practical workshops, as well as to improve joint planning, activities during the CS4EU project and internal communication. During the two-day training, the participants presented their projects that will be implemented over the next year and learned important information about the dynamics of project implementation, communication, activity planning and budget management.

In addition, representatives of the Belgrade Open School presented the results from the first year of the project and enabled participants to learn more about practical information and to improve the work of organizations on projects. Also, the participants were provided with expert counseling which included analysis of their logical framework matrixes as well as consultations with audit experts who gave them advice on budget and financial control.

The project “Civil Society as a Force for a Change in the Serbia’s EU Accession Process” aims to support the active participation of civil society organizations and the media in the process of Serbia's EU accession through project and institutional support. Belgrade Open School, within the second year of the CS4EU project, has 17 partners coming from Subotica, Novi Sad, Belgrade, Niš, Prijepolje, Prokuplje, Užice, Kruševac, Loznica, Valjevo, Pirot, Kragujevac and Arilje. Through this network of organizations and media from all over Serbia, BOS strives to improve the quality of European integration process and contribute to democratic development in Serbia by strengthening the role of civil society and bringing European integration closer to the needs of citizens. The realization of the three-year project is supported by Kingdom of Sweden.
