I Semester
In the first semester, two courses will be carried out: Politics I and the Economic and Social Policy
Course: Politics I
The aim of the course is to inform participants about the meaning of politics, political order and political culture and their various social, cultural, historical and other manifestations. In addition, special attention will be devoted to conversation about the values underlying modern democratic community. As a result, it should make students familiar with different segments of the democratic organization of society and state, the development of democratic values and beliefs among participants and prepare them for active participation in the democratic transition.
The method applied in this course involves active dialogue with participants and teachers, and among the participants themselves. Participants will get two relevant articles, a list of recommended literature and synopsis of the lecture, based on which they will prepare themselves for participation in respective topics.
Course: Economic and Social Policy
The aim of the course is to inform participants about the importance of economic and social policy and the basic problems that Serbia encounters in these areas. Special attention will be devoted to discussing the values of the right centre in the economic and social sphere, as well as the concept of a social market economy (all participants will receive a book on this issue in the edition of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Belgrade). The result of the course will be a better understanding of the participants of numerous economic and social problems and a better motivation to deal specifically with these burning political issues in their work.
The method used in this course involves an active dialogue of participants with lecturers and exchange of views and ideas among the participants. Participants will be provided in advance with reading materials, with a list of selected literature and internet links, which the participants will use in order to prepare for participation in the dialogue.

II Semester
In the second semester of the educational programme "PolitiKAS" two courses that are more dedicated to political knowledge will be carried out: Politics II, and European Integration.
Course: Politics II
Objective: Educational course Policy II is designed for representatives of youth branches of political parties, the moderate right and center-right to build and to improve their capacity through the provision of knowledge about the role of religious and ethnic identity in politics, with special emphasis on democratic and plural society, the role of national and national state in modern European and Balkan history, decentralized forms of organization of political community, international relations in the modern era, with special emphasis on Serbia and the Balkans, as well as civil and human rights and minority protection mechanisms. One of the objectives of the course is to connect basic knowledge about politics, civil society and democracy to knowledge necessary to adequately monitor the course of European integration, dedicated primarily to the European Union, as well as the manner and mechanism of democratic editing highly pluralistic community identity European nations, whose institutional structure still has the features and international organizations and complex state. Through a series of interactive lectures and workshops, participants will be able to acquire new and improve existing knowledge through conversation with the most eminent teachers in the areas of identity, human rights and international relations.
In the course, interactive methods will be applied to transfer knowledge: interactive lectures, which include dialogue, an exchange of opinions between teachers and participants, as well as experts debate on specific areas that will include participants. Participants will get two relevant articles, a list of recommended literature and synopsis of the lecture, based on which they will prepare themselves for participation.
Course: European Integration
Objective: The educational course of European integration is an educational experience created for representatives of youth branches of political parties with the aim of building and improving their capacity through the provision of knowledge about the institutional and legal order of the European Union, practical ways to policy and decision making, and finally, the most important aspects of the process of Serbia’s joining and connecting with the European Union. Considerable attention is paid to the issues of European identity and the development of European ideas in political thought.
The method: The course is designed in such a way that the process of transferring knowledge and skills insists on interactive lectures, which include the development of dialogue, exchange of opinion between lecturers and participants. We have insisted, also, on the mandatory workshop approach to the education process so that certain topics are handled in this way, giving attendees the opportunity to be more actively involved in the processing issues and to develop their own thesis topics by working out in groups topics given by teachers.
