PolitiKAS debate: The importance of citizen participation in democratic processes and the role of parliament as the highest representative body
The Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Belgrade Open School have been organizing the PolitiKAS educational programme for activists of organizations and members of center-right parties for 11 years. However, the pandemic and life in new circumstances brought different formats of exchange of experiences and education. We recognized the importance of involving the wider community in a conversation that brings together actors of different views and in cooperation with the Eduardo Frei Foundation from the Netherlands, we have prepred a series of debates, in October and November, relating to our lives in a changed context.
The third debate on the Importance of citizen participation in democratic processes and the role of parliament as the highest representative body will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 17:30, via the Zoom platform. Elvira Kovač, MP of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians, and Stefan Surlić, assistant at the Faculty of Political Sciences, will share their knowledge and experience on the mentioned topic. The debate will be moderated by Dejan Bursać, a research associate at the Institute for Political Studies.
