On Tuesday, June 23th, the last block of lectures was held within this year's educational programme PolitiKAS.

The guest at the first lecture within the European integration module was Dorothea Gieselmann, Deputy Ambassador of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, who spoke about relations between Serbia and EU: Where are we now? Mrs. Gieselmann spoke about the importance of the implementation of the reforms as a determinant of the speed of progress on Serbia's path towards EU. The speaker also talked about future German presidency of the EU Council, which comes in the moments of great challenges that the EU is facing and the EU recovery  package. In the end of the lecture participants had the opportunity to ask questions concerning the experience of other countries, now EU members, but also the importance of regional cooperation for the countries of the Western Balkans in the context of the Berlin Process.

Aleksandar Jakovljević, a member of the Coordination body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for monitoring Economic Migration, spoke within the module Politics II on the topic Brain Drain: The Most Important Migrant Issue. The lecturer spoke about the brain drain as primarily an economic issue which as such has great implications for the Serbian economy. The participants had the opportunity to hear more about the programme and measures that the Government is taking, in order to provide conditions for young people to study, live, work and start a family in Serbia.

These lectures are followed by a short break and preparation before the award of the certificates and a special lecture. A special lecture will be held on July 7th and Marko Veković will speak on the topic of Religion and Democracy, as a lecturer who and whose lecture was the best evaluated during the entire Programme.
