PolitiKAS – The Second Semester started

By the lectures on the module "Politics II" and "Economic and social policy"  the second semester of the curriculum "PolitiKAS", began on 7th of February 2012. 

Students and participants had the opportunity to discuss the political significance of ethnic and religious identity with Milan Sitarski, and on social inclusion with Zarko Šunderić. 

During the module "Politics II" attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the role of religious and ethnic identity in politics, with special emphasis on the democratic and pluralistic society, the role of nations and national states in modern European and Balkan history, decentralized forms of organization of political community, international relations in the modern era, with special focus on Serbia and the Balkans, as well as human civil and minority rights and their protection mechanisms.

Aim of the module, "Economic and social politics" is to inform students about the importance of economic and social policy and the basic problems that Serbia is facing in these areas. Special attention will be devoted to conversation about the values of the center-right in the economic and social spheres, as well as the concept of social market economy.
