Training on career guidance for counselling in secondary schools was held on August 18 and 19, 2016 at the Center for Vocational Training in Krusevac. Twenty teachers, representatives of eight secondary schools from Krusevac took part in the training.
The training was organized by the Belgrade Open School in cooperation with the Educational Center Kruševac.The training was conducted by the trainers of the Belgrade Open School Jelena Manic Radoicic, Tamara Kljajic and Bojan Velev. The training aimed to bring the teachers closer to the concept of careers and career guidance and counselling and to point to the importance of timely informing pupils of the possible course of their careers. In addition to having had the opportunity to get to know more about career and career concepts, the professors had an opportunity to hear useful information about encouraging self-knowledge among students through interactive sessions, they learned how to advise students to make decisions about choosing a career, and adopted are also tools that can help students in finding a job, primarily those related to writing a biography and accompanying letters and preparing for a job interview.
This vocational training program was approved by the Institute for the Improvement of Education, and the participants were given certificates of attendance.
