Applying the technique of 3D printing is a sought-after skill in the labour market, and this will be even more relevant in the future. 3D models can be made for human organs in medical research, for characters in video games as well as projecting new buildings or hotels. 3D printing can be especially relevant for students and vocational teachers in secondary schools, colleges and universities. How to learn 3D printing?
Basics can be mastered relatively quickly through online courses if the person already possesses knowledge in the area.
ONLINE COURSE CAN BE ACCESSED HERE
The online course consists of presentations, video materials and tests to assess gained knowledge. To access the course you only need to register.
The course covers five areas: 1) Introduction to 3D modelling and 3D printing; 2) 3D Software; 3) 3D Designing; 4) 3D Prototyping and 5) Optimization.
Online course was created within the project "3D4VET - 3D Modelling Curriculum and Applications for 3D Printers and Tabs for VET Schools" supported by the Program Erasmus+ (Key Action: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices, Strategic Partnerships for VET education). Project was realized by the Tuzla Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi (Turkey) in cooperation with the following partners: Belgrade Open School (Serbia), Marmara University Faculty of Technology (Turkey), Timarge Mechatronics Ltd. Co. (Turkey), Interprojects (Bulgaria), Nottingham Trent University School of Science & Technology (UK) Prosena SA (Portugal).
