On Thursday, 11th of October in the premises of Belgrade Open School the training course for teachers „3D technologies in the field of vocational education and training“ was organized. The training course was carried out within the project “3D4VET - 3D Modelling Curriculum and Applications for 3D Printers and Tabs for VET Schools”.
Starting from December 2016 the partners’ consortium from five European countries, consisted of secondary vocational schools, universities, companies and other service providers in the field of vocational education, worked together on creating the curriculum for teachers on 3D printing and scanning. This curriculum and related materials were presented at the training. Moreover, the professors of Mechanical engineering faculty at the University of Niš, Miodrag Manić and Nikola Vitković demonstrated an example of using a 3D printer to participants.
In the next period, teachers who participated in the training will pilot the materials created within the project and in that way develop their knowledge and skills, as well as competencies of their students, contribute to their better position at the labour market and innovation of the curriculum in secondary schools.
More information on the project and access to online learning platform with created materials are available on the project website.
