Belgrade open school (BOS) organized the final ceremony within the project “PRAKSAM- introducing the youth to the world of work through internship” On 29th of January 2018. The final ceremony, which took place in the BOS premises, was attended by representatives of public, business and civil sector, as well as the interns from this year’s project: ‘’PRAKSAM – Introducing youth to the world of work through internship placements’’.
At the opening, the attendees were addressed by Mr. Milorad Bjeletic, Executive Director of Belgrade open school, Bojana Perovic, Ministry of Youth and Sports and Natasa Filipovic, Managing Director at Ovation BBDO.
Milorad Bjeletic presented The Belgrade open school Improvement of Employability programme and emphasized that BOS has been advocating for quality internships since 2012, and that on PRAKSAM project excellent results were achieved once again. He underlined that the employment is one of the most important topics within youth and because of that it is important that competent institutions in cooperation with civil sector organizations implement programs, which will improve situation in business world. Bojana Perovic from Ministry of Youth and Sports pointed out the roll of Ministry in implementing projects about improving youth employability, primarily through annual concurs for implementing goals of National strategic for youth. In behalf of Ovation BBDO, Natasa Filipovic shared her experience within Praksam project considering the fact that her intern got employment after finishing internship. Ms Filipovic pointed out the important roll of Belgrade open school in strengthening company capacity in the realization of internship programs, as well as providing support for interns in career development.
After the introductory statements, certificates were awarded to trainees and companies who had successfully participated in the PRAKSAM project.
The final ceremony was realized in the framework of project “PRAKSAM - introducing the youth to the world of work through internship”, which was financially supported by Ministry of Youth and Sports and implemented by Belgrade open school in cooperation with Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and American Chamber and Commerce.
