On Tuesday, June 23, 2020, BOŠ team attended the 4th meeting of partners within the project HORECACCESS - accessibility of services in the HORECA sector.
Due to the coronavirus situation, the meeting was held via the ZOOM application. In addition to the representatives of the Belgrade Open School, the meeting was attended by partners from the organization EkologyKM and Sofia University from Bulgaria.
On the meeting participants presented the results of the previously taken project activities, which, despite the challenging situation in all partner countries are really impressive.
As a reminder, the HORECACCESS project aims to empower young people engaged in the HORECA industry to provide reliable and accessible services to the people with disabilities. A special segment is dedicated to raising awareness about this population, situations that staff in the HORECA sector may encounter when providing services to customers with disabilities, as well as potential solutions and strategies for effective support to overcome or alleviate barriers in these situations.
So far, within the project, we created manuals, a mobile application and an online learning platform for young people, employees in the HORECA sector and youth workers, to provide accessible services to people with disabilities.
At the meeting we discussed and made a plan for the future activities where all those interested will have the opportunity to get acquainted in more detail with the created materials, which in the light of the new situation gained additional importance and value.
