How to make accessible services to persons with disabilities? How is it possible to provide support services in the HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants and Caffees) sector for people with disabilities? How to empower horeca staff to provide quality services to guests with disabilities? These are just some of the issues that were discussed during the two-day meeting within the HORECACCESS project - accessibility of services in the HORECA sector.
The meeting, hosted by the Belgrade Open School, was held in Belgrade in the period from 3-4. June 2019. This meeting of partners was a significant opportunity for the partners to present ideas, current achievements and give constructive recommendations for further work, which will provide several important results in the fall, among which are: A Guide to Understanding Disability, Guidelines for Daily Situations with Guests with Disabilities in HORECA Sector and Handbook for Training of Trainers.
The HORECACESS project aims to empower young people engaged in the HORECA industry to provide reliable and affordable services to people with disabilities. A special segment is dedicated to raising awareness about this population, situations that staff in the HORECA sector can encounter when providing services to guests with disabilities, as well as potential solutions and strategies for effective support in order to bridge or mitigate barriers in these situations.
All activities of the project will be realized in the period from November 1, 2018 to October 31, 2020.
The project is supported within the Erasmus + Program of the Strategic Partnership for the Development of Innovation in Vocational Education and Training.
