In the period from November 21st to 23rd, 2018 at the "St. Kliment Ohridski" University in Sofia, a meeting of partners within the project HORECACCESS - accessibility of services in the HORECA sector was held.The HORECACESS project aims to empower youth engaged in the HORECA industry to provide reliable and accessible services to people with disabilities.
A special segment is dedicated to raising awareness about this population, situations that staff in the HORECA sector can encounter when providing services to customers with disabilities, as well as potential solutions and strategies for effective support in order to bridge or mitigate barriers in these situations.The meeting was opened by Dr. Snezhan Iliev, project coordinator in front of the Sofia University in Bulgaria, and presented the basic concept of the project and the background frames from which the need for such a project was realized.After her presentation, all the representatives of the partner organizations involved in this project, among which besides the Belgrade Open School from Serbia: OAED organization from Turkey, organization EcologyKM from Bulgaria and Horeca Partners from Belgium presented the work of their organizations with emphasis on previous experience on the field of inclusion, activities in the HORECA sector and the field of professional and informal training and training.
The meeting was the opportunity for partners to split all the responsibilities on time, as well as to create action plan for all further steps on the project.
All activities of the project will be realized in the period from November 1, 2018 to October 31, 2020.
