The project e-Career deals with the problem of unemployment and lack of employability of young people, as well as the lack of career guidance services for young people in Serbia. It had the task to contribute to increasing the employability of young people, improve the system of career information and counseling in Serbia and empower youth offices to provide career information with the skilful use of innovative technologies.
E-Career established and strengthened a network of peer educators for career information in 11 local youth offices, trained to provide information, support and guidance to young people about career planning. During the project, a three-day training was held for activists - volunteers of youth offices aged 17 to 24 from Obrenovac, Savski venac (Beograd), Bela Palanka, Novi Pazar, Kikinda, Ruma, Blace, Zrenjanin, Kragujevac, Vrnjacka Banja and Palilula (Nis), on November, 23 - 25 2011. After that each team of trained activists held one peer education for 20 young people.E-Career also enabled all young people in Serbia to use a unique online system for career planning, BOS Career, which contains tests of personality, interests and skills, information about faculties and occupations, an online CV builder, and now the portal contains a system for automatic delivery of news about the programs of informal education and training adjusted to interests of each user.
This project was financed by The Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia.
