The main aim of the program was to contribute to Serbian educational and economic development through senzibilization of secondary education schools employees in Serbia for Career Guidance and Counselling (CGC).
Implementation of the project achieved the following results:- Established partnership between ME, MERD – Tourism sector, NES, BOS and DAI, for the purpose of the project implementation
- Conducted baseline assessment of the capacities and knowledge of the participants in the area of career guidance and the level to which the participants are implementing techniques and tools to provide career guidance services to the students.
- 58 representatives from 15 schools of secondary education was trained in the general topics related to CGC
- Established dialogue between CGC policy makers – authors of the Strategy (Ministry of Education), and representatives from the schools of secondary education.
- 56 representatives from 15 schools of secondary education were trained in the specific DOTS model and its components that can be used in the everyday activities in the schools.
- Project team monitored the implementation of the activities in the schools. Project team provided schools with the handbook on career guidance (Essential elements of Career Guidance, published by BOS). BOS project team also disseminated to the schools video materials – TV show on career planning that BOS participated in, http://www.hocudaznam.org/tv-serijal.html. Rewarded movie on entrepreneurship was also recommended to be played for the students, http://ec.europa.eu/enterprise/policies/entrepreneurship/smeweek/channel/seize_the_day_en.htm.
- App. 4221 students from the respective schools of secondary education were involved in the CGC activities facilitated in the respective schools.
- 75 teachers, beside those 60 project participants, were directly transferred the knowledge and skills received at the BOS trainings from their colleagues.
The participants evaluate their present knowledge around 100% increased form the level stated at the beginning of the program.
