Education is invaluable to the individual's personal development, in order to establish social and civic values such as equality, tolerance, solidarity, and it also enables young people and others to readily enter, stay and advance in the world of work. In order to ensure a more evident and safer future for young people, we need a constant interaction and cooperation between the world of education and the world of work. A dynamic nature and volatility of the economy increasingly require the skills and qualification we equip ourselves with during formal education to fit the needs of existing and new jobs and vocations more.

Belgrade Open School aims to contribute to overcoming the challenges connected to the poor harmonization of the education system and the labour market, in order to give young people in Serbia the opportunity to get their first job after completing their formal education more easily. Through its activities and services, BOS works on connecting employers and suitable candidates, it examines the needs and affinities of both parties, harmonizes them and creates a bridge between unemployed and effective, motivated and employed and satisfied employers. We also aim to empower education process actors to affirm perspective vocations and trades in a timely manner, and to make school and academic programs more responsive to change and economy demands.

We realize the activities on connecting the world of education and the world of work through linking secondary schools with the economy, and through organizing quality traineeshps.
