Rearcher of Belgrade Open School Aleksandra Djurovic attended the Evidence and Policy Summer School “Science, policy, and demography: The role of population and migration for sustainable development in the European neighborhood” in Laxenburg, Austria. The event was organized by the IIASA and the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) in collaboration with the International Network for Government Science Advice and the Global Young Academy.
The summer school, which ran from 5 to 7 September 2018, was held under the auspices of the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, with the support of the Austrian Ministry for Education, Science, and Research, and the Austrian Ministry for Europe, Integration, and Foreign Affairs. The summer school, which gathered a total of 75 researchers and policymakers from 40 EU Member States and neighborhood countries, provided an opportunity for participants to develop skills in using evidence for creating informed policy solutions.
During the summer school, our researcher Aleksandra Đurović had the opportunity to present the ALMIT project and planned researches on job market and mapping of refugee skills, within the project scheme.
