Lea Sgier Ph.D. the professor of the University of Geneva and & Professional University of Social Work (HES-SO), Geneva, has carried out three-day training on using the advanced qualitative research methods for Belgrade Open School's research team. The training took place in Belgrade, from 22nd to 24th of December 2017.

The training dealt with certain phases in the process of qualitative research, such as data collection and analysis (with a special focus on interviews and focus groups as well as qualitative data analysis). Through the training the Belgrade Open School's research team had the opportunity to further develop its knowledge and skills in recognizing and applying the necessary criteria for research quality and applicability, understanding these concepts in the process of writing research projects and gaining data which could be used in the process of decision-making and creation of public policy.

Belgrade Open School's research team will continue its cooperation with professor Sgier in the next period through her mentorship regarding BOS research projects.
