The Future Studies lectures continue in the Online classroom

26. Mar 2020.

The state of emergency did not stop lectures on Future Studies from happening. The XXVII Generation had its first online lecture on March 23, 2020.

Due to the state of emergency proclaimed because of COVID-19 pandemic, the remaining lectures on the Classroom 4.0 and Looking towards Europe modules will be held online. This new teaching method on Future Studies is an opportunity for lecturers to innovate the ways they transfer knowledge and for students to acquire skills and information in a new and interesting way. Furthermore, together they will test and get familiar with online platforms whose importance and use is increasing rapidly.

The first online lecture Narratives of the Future by Vojin Vasovic, producer and director at To Blink Animation studio and lecturer at the Faculty of Arts. On the lecture, students learned about key attention attracting factors in storytelling and analyzed the narratives they create in everyday life.

The conversation with the lecturer brought the XXVII Generation to the conclusion about the importance of fiction, because it tells about human needs and problems, while science and technology work on their fulfilments and solutions afterwards.
