The spring semester for the 26th generation of the "Future studies" programme began on Tuesday, February 22. of 2019. on the 16th floor of Belgrade palace.
The spring semester began with a lecture by BOS' own Jelena Babic, programme manager, as a part of the Intensive module "Europe", and with a presentation of the forms for the final projects which the students will have as a standard activity within the programme. The aforementioned module is aiming at thoroughly preparing students for the coming module Looking towards Europe which is set to begin on February 1st.
Students of the 26th generation will have the chance to attend the module Classroom 4.0 for the first time. This module was created by the BOS programme board, with its new member Lazar Dzamic and Dobrivoje Eric. The central theme of Classroom 4.0 is the Digital revolution, and rapid changes in modern civilization that come with it. As BOS is striving to prepare its students as best as possible for the turbulent times ahead, the list of topics is versatile, covering all the relevant aspects of the Digital revolution. The topics are ranging from Jugaad - innovations in third world countries, Artificial Intelligence and Influence of new technologies on the ethics of business.
A large variety of interesting and dynamic activities are set for students, in the second semester. One of them being Winter school of teamwork, where students will learn about leadership and teamwork, whilst, at the same time, becoming a strong and coherent team.
One novelty at the Future studies programme is the Students2Students programme, where students will have the opportunity to hold lectures for their colleagues, with the topics of their choice. In this way, students will be able to share their knowledge, experience and interests, while improving their public speaking skills, at the same time. Students, with their chosen topics, will hold lectures on a monthly basis, with the support of BOS team.
Next to these exciting additions, Future studies are continuing with already well established Alumni2Students and Internship programmes. Of course, electoral activities for the students are also happening. During February, students will have the second BOS Book club, focusing on the book "Pursuit of Happiness " written by Victor Frankl, which will be moderated by one of the students from the 26th generation. In the coming month, students will also have an AI themed movie night, as well as many other cultural and entertaining activities, so that the students have a really good reason to look forward to the spring semester.
