Few clicks away from Europe tour

28. Oct 2016.

What is Serbia's place in the European Union? How was the EU founded? How can membership in this Union affect the lives of young people? Young people can find out answers to these questions by reading the publication European Diary, which is part of the project implemented by the EU Info Center with the same name.

At the EU stand on the Book Fair, high school students from Belgrade were provided with complete information regarding the process of the European integration, education opportunities, training courses and youth exchanges provided by the EU. An Open call for high school students has been launched, by which the most creative participants will receive a trip to EU countries as a reward. It takes place in four categories - literary, photography, multimedia and video format. Three-member teams of high school students can participate with their professor-mentor, and it is open until 27th of January said Sanja Nasevski from Belgrade Open School.

Moreover, representatives of BOS introduced high school students to the mobile application Take away - Europe, which was created three years ago by the Office for EU Integration of the Government of Serbia. With just a few clicks, young people can find out, for example, what would Serbian EU membership bring to them. The categories are divided into several sections – EU, participate in it! (EUključi se) is about educational, travel, volunteering and exchanges opportunities; How to reach the EU? where you can find out what does which chapter mean, who is negotiating and what awaits us on the way to the Union, explained Danijela Bozovic from BOS. I should know section, on the other hand, explains EU history, the development of EU policies, as well as its institutions added her colleague Tamara Brankovic.
