The 8th regular National Youth Council of Serbia (NYCS) Assembly was held from 9th to 11th of September in Vrnjacka Banja. New NYCS' bodies were elected during this occasion: the Presidency of the Assembly, the Executive Board, the Supervisory Board, as well as the President of the Management Board. With this convocation of NYCS' bodies, the Belgrade Open School, once again has become a part of its Executive Board!
During the first day of the Assembly, NYCS was expanded with three new member organizations: the Association DUGA, the Association for Youth - Pancevo and the European Movement in Serbia. Now, with these newly associated organizations NYCS consists of 109 member organizations. In addition to the annual reports, the NYCS Annual Work Plan 2020-2021 was adopted, along with the changes to the Statute and Rules of Procedure.
This year, the procedure of candidates' presentations for NYCS' bodies has changed, by a debate in which they had to answer certain situational questions moderated by Boban Stojanovic. After the voting and the second round of elections, new bodies that will work hard within the NYCS' team to achieve the goals, mission and vision of this advocacy platform, were selected.
The President of the Executive Board is Uros Savic Kain, while the other members of this Board are Djordje Plavsic, Marko Stanković, Ana Jankovic, Marko Nedeljkovic, Masa Vracar and our Advocacy and Communications Coordinator, Jovana Bozickovic.
Members of the Supervisory Board are Marko Petrovic, Irina Filipovic and Srđan Hromis. The President of the Assembly is Nemanja Glavinic, whereas the Deputy President of the Assembly is Nikola Bozanovic.
In the next two years, our Advocacy and Communications Coordinator, Jovana Bozickovic, will represent the interests of young people by working in the highest independent representative body of young people in Serbia.
