The conference within project ALMIT - Acceleration Of Labor Market Integration Of Immigrants Through Mapping Of Skills And Trainings

27. Nov 2020.

What are the challenges of the integration process in Serbia and Bulgaria?  How do they differ from the integration in Austria and Turkey? What are the challenges in the labor market that migrants face and what are the perspectives for immigrant employment? These are just some of the issues raised at the final online conference of the project ALMIT - Acceleration Of Labor Market Integration Of Immigrants Through Mapping Of Skills And Trainings, held on 26.11.2020.
During the final conference, partners presented results of a three-year project involving over 700 migrants currently residing in Austria, Bulgaria, Serbia, and Turkey. Participants included in the project had the opportunity to join civic and intercultural education sessions and language courses.
Also, panelists from Austria, Bulgaria, Serbia, and Turkey shared with participants their viewpoints on the challenges of the migrant crisis in Europe, the impact of migration on local labor markets, and the importance of individual measures to support the integration process.
ALMIT - Acceleration Of Labor Market Integration Of Immigrants Through Mapping Of Skills And Trainings project aims to find ways to facilitate the integration of migrants into the labor market, and it is funded by the European Union Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI). Partners in Serbia are Belgrade Open School (BOS), Philanthropy, and Municipality of Sid.
