AlumniTalks: What is the importance of Montessori today?

27. Oct 2020.

On October, 23 Jovana Tripunovic, alumni of the XIV Generation, held an  AlumniTalks lecture titled Why Montessori now? This year marks the 150th anniversary of Maria Montessori birthday and presents a perfect opportunity for the analysis of her method and various aspects of its implementation. Jovana Tripunovic, who researches the Montessori philosophy, talked about these and other topics with the BOS alumni, in a conversation moderated by Sena Maric, alumni of the XVII Generation.

The audience had an opportunity to learn about basic Montessori principles: the careful observation of the child and its development, creation of a clear schedule for activities and the focus on the cause and effect of its actions. However,  they also found out that the Montessori method can be implemented in diverse ways for adults as well.

AlumniTalks are events for the Future Studies alumni that allow them to listen to experts from various fields, discuss and share opinions.
