By adopting the Guideline of service standards of career guidance and counseling on June 19th of 2019, an important step was made for establishing a unique quality system in the area of career guidance and counseling. Which general and specific competences do career practitioners need to have, depending on the counseling, informing or educating for a career?Curious non-experts or career guidance and counseling (CGAC) practitioners can read more about this in the Guideline. Aware that standards from the Guideline need to be brought closer to people in the job market, a meeting was held on September 3rd of 2020 at the initiative of the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social policy. Subject of the meeting was how to bring CGAC standards closer to the employment world. Except Ministry representatives Mrs Dragica Ivanović and Nevena Letić, this meeting gathered key participants for CGAC development in Serbia, among which were Euroguidance centre in Serbia representatives Mr. Marko Banković and Mrs Ivana Vulić, and also Mrs Milena Janković and Mrs Jelena Stefanović, representatives of Education To Employment initiative which will support arranged CGAC activities. Host of the meeting was Belgrade Open School (BOS) from which project cordinatoor Marina Lukić and program counsellor Jelena Manić Radoičić participated. In accordance to Suggestions for plan implementation of CGAC service standards application, which were brough by National Qualifications Framework in Serbia, in the following period CGAC activities for practitioners in employment are expected, according to standards.
