Innovative thinking and approaches in advocacy

29. Sep 2019.

Within the project project "Active Citizens - Better Society: Advocacy for Cooperation and Democratic Development", the last training of this year's support cycle was held.

This time we worked to increase the capacity of our advocacy partners through an innovative thinking methodology, which is a creative problem-solving process that involves people of different perspectives, knowledge, skills and experience who then work together on the problem to reach a workable and a socially usable solution.

By applying empathy and understanding, we have tried to inform ourselves in- depth about the problems of the target group whose rights or needs are advocated within the framework of our partners' initiatives. Additionally, we have worked on alternative approaches to problem solving, as well as creative and unconventional thinking, in order to find strategies and solutions that can yield positive results in the advocacy process.

As the training was also dedicated to innovative approaches in advocacy, we organized a session dedicated to introducing the Rock Camp for Girls initiative, where we were joined by Selena Simić from the organizing team, as well as two participants of the program who talked about their experiences and challenges at the camp.
