Active Citizens: A Better Society - Call for Proposals

13. Jan 2020.

Belgrade Open School (BOS) in partnership with the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence (BFPE) and the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN Serbia) announces Call for Proposals under the Civil Society Support Program for Public Advocacy. The program is being implemented under the project "Active Citizens - Better Society: Advocacy for Cooperation and Democratic Development", supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The Civil Society Support Program for Public Advocacy involves project support. Project support includes financial support for advocacy projects and additional capacity building of partner organizations - project partners, who apply advocacy methods in their work. Potential project partners applying for this type of support may propose new projects or have ongoing advocacy projects that require additional funding and / or capacity building.  Potential partner organizations may apply for financial support for a minimum of $ 10,000 and a maximum of $ 15,000.

Organizations are required to complete their projects from March 1 to October 31, 2020.

The Program for Supporting civil society organizations for Advocacy was launched with the aim of improving advocacy practices in Serbia and bringing civil society advocacy activities closer to citizens. The program encourages civil society organizations to take an innovative approach to designing and implementing advocacy campaigns and building their own capacity through advocacy in practice.

This is the Second Call under the Program, under which 10 civil society organizations will be supported. The deadline for submission of project proposals is Thursday, January 30, 2020, by 23 hours and 59 minutes.

Submission of project proposals for participation in the Program is done exclusively electronically through the online platform: javnozagovaranje.bos.rs. Proposals submitted otherwise will not be considered, and more information can be found HERE.

For all questions and concerns, the BOS team will be available to you by email: javnozagovaranje@bos.rs
