List of approved project proposals for project support under the second Civil Society Support Program for Advocacy

Belgrade Open School (BOS) announces the List of approved project proposals within the implementation of the second year of the Civil Society Support Program for Public Advocacy. The program is being implemented under the project "Active Citizens - Better Society: Advocacy for Cooperation and Democratic Development", supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by BOS in partnership with the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence (BFPE) and the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN Serbia).

BOS congratulates the CSOs whose project proposals were approved and thanks all the participants who submitted their proposals. Organizations that have recognized the importance of the Program and whose proposals are not supported will be able to respond to the Third Call next year.

Approved projects will be implemented between March 1 and October 31, 2020. The following is a list of supported CSOs that have received project support:

  • Association Uzice Center for Human Rights and Democracy - Sustainable Local Housing Policies in the Focus of Active Citizens
  • Association for local development Kamenica - Transformational Potential and Effects of the Four-Year Application of Article 11 of the Republic of Serbia Law on Cooperatives, on the Development of Social Entrepreneurship in Serbia
  • Forum of civic action Forca Pozega - Different but Equally Important - New Services for a New Age
  • Streets for cyclists - Bike is Law
  • United Anglers of Serbia - My Catch – Our Concern
  • Kolping Society Serbia - Social Protection in the Focus of Novi Sad
  • Consumer protection - Improvement of Regulations Regarding Plastic Bags and Alignment of Local Ordinances which deal with Public Utilities with Changes to the Consumer Protection Law
  • Zajecar Initiative - Kraljevica for Us All
  • The Association of Local Independent Media Local Press - For youth content
  • Labris - Lesbian Human Rights Organization - Diversity and equality at workplace

Project support includes financial support for advocacy projects and additional capacity building of partner organizations - project partners, who apply advocacy methods in their work.

All CSOs submitting project proposals will receive information on the project proposal by the end of the second week of March - the number of points and the comments of the members of the evaluation committee.
