Third year of ALMIT - Lessons learned

Many European countries have been affected by the migrant crisis and and they tried to find appropriate mechanisms to support migrant population. Education is recognized as one of the most important mechanisms in the integration process, contributing to improving not only knowledge and skills but also quality of life, and employability improvment.

ALMIT - Acceleration Of Labor Market Integration Of Immigrants Through Mapping Of Skills And Trainings aims to find ways to facilitate the integration of migrants into the labor market, and in the 2019, dozens of trainings and trainings were designed and piloted in the field of Serbian language, civic education and intercultural learning. The project is being implemented from January 2018 to June 2020 in four countries - Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey and Austria.

The third partner meeting of the ALMIT project was held in Duzce, Turkey on 20-21of January, 2020, attended by representatives of the University of Sofia (Bulgaria), Zgura-M Ltd (Bulgaria), the Austrian Youth Workers Movement - ÖJAB (Austria), Municipality of Sid (Serbia), Philanthropy (Serbia), Düzce Governorship (Turkey) Düzce İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü (Turkey) and Belgrade Open School. During the meeting, the results of the work of all partners were presented, Belgrade Open School is the coordinator of Work Package 3 - Piloting integration courses, and the representatives of BOS presented key challenges they encountered in this process.

In addition, partners presented plans for the implementation of implementation of Work Package 5 - Counseling on Settlement and Job Search and future project activities.
